Turkmenistan supplying gas to remote areas of country

Over 46.5 kilometers of new gas pipelines with distribution points will be built in the populated remote areas of Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.

Turkmen Gas Supply Production Association is laying gas lines to new buildings in settlements of Gubadag city. For their construction, different diameter pipes, characterized by increased throughput and wear resistance, are used, the report said.

Turkmenistan ranks fourth in the world in terms of natural gas reserves after Russia, Iran and Qatar, according to a report published by BP.

The largest deposits of Turkmenistan - Galkynysh and Yashlar - with total resources estimated by local geologists and the British company GCA at 26.2 trillion cubic meters are in the Mary region in the east of the country.
