Iran's East Oil & Gas Production Company meets 85 percent of its spare parts needs via local companies, said Abolhassan Mohammadi, the company executive director.
According to Mohammadi, agreements are being reached with science and technology parks, as well as research centers for the needs to be fully met, Trend reports referring to the company website.
"The operation area of the East Oil & Gas Production Company is a unique one," he said, adding that the climate is prone to changes and there are a number of other issues.
"The company produces over 62 million cubic meters of gas daily, extracting it from the fields in Khangiran and Gonbadli," he said.
According to Mohammadi, the gas produced meets the needs of the Neka thermal power plant, the Khorasan Petrochemical Complex in Bojnord, the North Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan and Golestan provinces, and parts of the Semnan Province.
