Oil production in Kazakhstan in January 2019 amounted to 6.92 million tons, which is 7.3 percent more year-on-year, Trend reports via Kazakh media.
According to the Statistics Committee of the Kazakh National Economy Ministry, in the reporting period, gas condensate was produced in the amount of 1.08 million tons (5.2 percent down year-on-year), natural gas - 5,09 billion cubic meters (6.3 percent up), and coal - in the amount of 10.1 million tons (4 percent up).
At the same time, iron ore was mined in the amount of 3.29 million tons (3 percent up), copper ore - 8.21 million tons (11.6 percent up), gold ore - 1.72 million tons (32 percent up), and chrome concentrate - in the amount of 381,000 tons (10.8 percent up).
