Crude and non-conventional oil exports from Iran stood at 2,160 thousand barrels per day in 2018, as compared to 2,424 thousand barrels per day in 2017 (down by 10.9 percent), Trend reports citing the World Oil Review – 2019 of Italy’s Eni company.
The country’s crude oil, non-conventional oil and natural gas liquids production 4,589 thousand barrels per day in 2018, as compared to 4,762 thousand barrels per day in 2017, thus declining by 3.6 percent, reads the report.
Oil consumption in Iran totaled 2,075 thousand barrels per day in 2018, as compared to 2,020 thousand barrels per day in 2017, up by 2.7 percent, according to Eni’s estimates.
Per capita oil consumption in the country equaled 9.23 barrels in 2018, as compared to 9.08 barrels in 2017, said the report.
Eni said that Iran’s oil reserves stood at 155,600 million barrels in 2018, remaining unchanged from 2017. Iran is the fourth among Top 10 oil reserves holders in the world, lagging behind only Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Canada, according to Eni.
