The manufacturing of fractionating column for separation of propane and propylene is nearing the end in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

This became known during the working visit of Member of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Akhmetzhan Yessimov to the region, where he visited a number of objects of industrial significance.

Thus, Yessimov visited the plant for manufacturing of oil and petrochemical equipment AtyrauNefteMash LLP.

“Currently the manufacturing of fractionating column for separation of propane and propylene is wrapping up, which is a unique and the biggest equipment in the country. Currently this is the only equipment of this size, which is being manufactured in the country. There is no analogues even at oil refineries. The manufacturing is to be finished on October 13, 2019 according to the agreement,” CEO of AtyrauNefteMash LLP Alexander Donskov said.

Yessimov also got acquainted with the implementation of the project on construction of the polypropylene manufacturing plant within the framework of integrated petrochemical complex of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries.

Yessimov visited the construction sites of the complex and noted the importance of maximal participation of Kazakh manufacturers in implementation of the project and of the timely launch of the plant. The construction is to be finished by the middle of 2021 and the plant is to be manufacturing up to 500,000 tons of polypropylene a year.

At the same time, Yessimov also got acquainted with manufacturing on complex of deep oil processing of Atyrau refinery. During the visit, he noted the importance of increase in reliability and safety when using the equipment, as well as the adoption of measures for improvement of technological literacy of the staff.

During the visit the delegation visited new facilities of aromatic hydrocarbons manufacturing complexes and of deep oil processing.

According to Yessimov, there for sure is a result from modernization of Atyrau refinery, which has been finished in 2018. The light oil products output and the depth of processing has been increased, which went up from 68 percent in 2018 to 85.5 percent in 2019.
