Gas production growing at Turkmenistan’s eastern field

The production of natural gas and gas condensate has grown at Nayip field in Turkmenistan’s Lebap region during eight months of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkmengas state concern.

During the reporting period, gas production reached 237.4 million cubic meters. Gas condensate production reached 2,317 tons, while above-target production of valuable raw materials reached 440 tons.

In this region, Turkmengeology state corporation conducted exploration work in the Tajibay prospective hydrocarbon area, located on the territory of the Charjev district.

Currently, about 30 gas and gas condensate fields, including Dovletabat and Shatlyk as well as biggest fields Malay, Kerpichli, Gazlydepe, Bagaja, Yelguyi and others, are being developed in Turkmenistan.

New deposits including Agarguyi and Northern Gazlidepe in Lebap region, South Gutlyyak and Geyazli in Ahal region, and Garakel in Mary region were also discovered.

Moreover, industrial reserves increased at Northern Nayip, Bagajha, Chertak, and Garajaovlak fields.

The search and exploration work is underway at the biggest Galkynysh gas field in Turkmenistan. The reserves of the Galkynysh gas field, together with the reserves of the Yashlar and Garakel fields, are estimated at 27.4 trillion cubic meters of gas. Turkmenistan is the biggest gas supplier in Central Asia.
