The domestic production of machinery and equipment for petrochemicals, steel and power plants in Iran has reached 50 percent, the deputy minister of Industry, Mining and Trade said.
“The ministry's policies are in line with the government's major policies, and its priorities include seven aspects, the most important of which is product development,” Mehdi Sadeghi Niyaraki said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Having noted that the Ministry is pursuing the objective to launch production value chain, the deputy minister added that at least half of the machinery and equipment for petrochemicals, steel and power plants are produced in the country.
He said that a budget of $85.7 billion (3600 trillion rial) is required to maintain the volume of domestic production in next Iranian year (begins on March 21, 2020).
