The Central Commission for Reserves at Uzbekneftegaz company declared that in 2019, the company discovered six new fields together with Epsilon Development Company, Trend reports citing the company.
The commission also confirmed increase of hydrocarbon reserves – 21 billion of cubic meters of gas, 877,000 tons of condensate and 4.6 million tons of oil.
New fields discovered by the company are Mirbaraka, Garbiy Ernazar, Karakara and Khudjum (Kultak-Kamashi block), and Bakhoriston and Kirkchashma (Mubarek investment block).
The Commission also approved the reserves of Chigil producing field.
In an effort to further increase reserves, Uzbekneftegaz and Epsilon continue additional exploration.
Epsilon Development Company is a subsidiary of Epsilon Development Company LLC (US).
The main activities of Epsilon are prospecting, exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons and flare gas and oil; construction of industrial facilities; construction of transport communications.
One of the missions of the company in Uzbekistan is to develop and progress new and sustainable energy projects, which will serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development at both regional and national levels.
For the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, a consortium of investors has been established with the Thyssen Krupp (Germany), Epsilon Development Company, and Epsilon Asia Limited (Hong Kong).
