TEHRAN, Iran, May 15
Trend:
Iran's South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) has reduced the overhaul time which, as expected, will increase the production to $55.9 million, said the technical inspection director SPGC.
"Shortening the process of major overhauls has been one of the achievements of South Pars Gas Company that will contribute to the increase of the production," said Ali Reza Barzegar, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Target inspection at refineries at phase 1 to 5 and overhaul are important part of operating refineries in South Pars for economic profit," he added. "The stable process of major overhauls in recent years indicates economic efficiency."
"There is a need for technical inspection and support of the management at refineries to implement the targeted strategy for 2025 to increase the value added," he added.
South Pars, the world's largest gas field shared between Iran and Qatar, has been developed in 24 phases of which 22 phases are operating and phase 14 is being completed.
South Pars has estimated to hold eight percent of the world’s total gas reserves and almost approximately 50 percent of Iran’s domestic gas reserves. SPGC has produced 250 million barrels of gas condensates in 2018.
