The wholesale sale price of liquefied petroleum gas will be 28,000 tenge ($69.4) excluding VAT in 3Q2020 in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy.
The maximum price is approved by the Ministry of Energy in coordination with the Ministry of National Economy on a quarterly basis and is valid throughout Kazakhstan.
The last time the maximum price of 28,000 tenge per ton without VAT was established in 1Q2017.
In turn, a reduction in the cost of wholesale sales of liquefied petroleum gas is expected to help reduce the cost of:
- retail sales of liquefied petroleum gas through group tank installations to residential consumers;
- sales of liquefied petroleum gas in household cylinders to the population;
- sales of liquefied petroleum gas through gas filling stations;
- sales of liquefied petroleum gas to industrial consumers.
This furthermore will give a positive multiplier effect and lead to a decrease in expenditures of consumers, which is especially important in the recovery period after a COVID-related state of emergency.
