Over 2.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated at Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in the Qazvin Province of Iran during first three months of the current year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, 1.3 billion kilowatt-hours of this energy was generated by the gas sections of the plant.
“About 1.67 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated by the steam sections of the plant,” the report said.
There are 13 sections at the Shahid Rajaee TPP operating in Qazvin Province. This has four steam sections with capacity of 250 megawatts each.
The TPP has the potential to generate 2,042 megawatts of electricity and it supplies 4 percent of Iran's electricity.
