Iran's Ilam Gas Treating Company boosts production

The gas condensate production of the Ilam Gas Treating Company in Ilam Province (western Iran) increased by 6 percent during the first three months of the current year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Managing Director of the company Ruhollah Noorian said, Trend reports citing National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

Noorian said that in addition, the company's production of liquid sulfur increased by 21 percent and pastille sulfur by 16 percent.

Noorian added that the company's LPG gas that is transporting to the Asaluyeh energy zone and Ilam Petrochemical Company increased by 360 percent.

The director also said that the company's gas condensate sales have increased over the past three months.

Iran does not disclose key data on production and sales in the oil and gas sector due to US sanctions against it.

The first phase of the company’s plant processes 6.8 million cubic meters of sour gas per day. After processing, 5.8 million cubic meters of methane gas will be transported through the Iranian gas network.

The first phase of the company's plant produces 370,000 cubic meters of ethane, 1,300 cubic meters of crude gas, 1,200 cubic meters of gas condensate and 340 tons of sulfur per day. With the commissioning of the second phase of the plant, this production will increase by 50 percent.
