Azfen, a joint venture between Turkish construction company Tekfen and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has been awarded a contract as part of modernization of Heydar Aliyev Refinery, Trend reports citing Tekfen.
Azfen inked around $237 million worth contract for construction and assembly as a subcontractor of the Spanish Tecnicas Reunidas company within the "Modernization and Renovation Project - B Package" for the Heydar Aliyev Refinery.

Higher production volumes at the Heydar Aliyev refinery can be achieved in 2025, when the project for modernization of the refinery, which began in 2015, will fully be completed.
