Iran's Pars Petrochemical Company boosts its production

The production of Iran’s Pars Petrochemical Company in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 19 percent in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 - March 20, 2020) compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Executive Director of the company Masoud Hassani said at the annual meeting of the company's shareholders, Trend reports referring to the company’s official portal.

The director noted that the company produced a total of 4.2 million tons of products in the last Iranian year.

He added that during this period, butane production increased by 20 percent, ethyl benzene production by 23 percent, monomer-styrene production by 23 percent and ethane production by 17 percent.

The director said that the sales of Pars Petrochemical Company increased by 13 percent in terms of weight in the last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year.

"The company's sales increased by 61 percent in terms of value compared to the preceding Iranian year. The sales of monomer-styrene increased by 66 percent, pentane by 75 percent, butane by 49 percent and propane by 41 percent,” he said.

Hassani stressed that the company's total revenues increased by 28 percent and earnings per share by 1.2 percent

The director said the return on each share was set at 9,500 rials (about 22 cent).

The Pars Petrochemical Company produced 1.47 million tons of ethane, 814,000 tons of propane, 526,000 tons of butane, 105,000 tons of gasoline, 681,000 tons of ethyl benzene, 631,000 tons of styrene monomer and 20,200 tons of benzene toluene.

The shareholders of the Pars Petrochemical Company are Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (60 percent share), Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company (19.78 percent share), Ghadir Investment Company (19.78 percent share) and others (0.44 percent share).

The total number of shares of the company is 6 billion. Of this, more than 3.59 billion belong to the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, more than 1.18 billion to the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, 1.18 billion to the Ghadir Investment Company and 26.6 million to the others.
