Transformers, overhead power lines commissioned in electricity sector of Iran

Two 300-amp transformers and overhead power lines to supply power to petrochemical plants have been put into operation in the Lordegan county of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (southwestern Iran), Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, in addition, a 63-kilowatt transformer was replaced at the power plant in Boroujen county and electricity production and distribution was increased in the county.

The reported work was carried out over four years and the state and private sectors spent a total of 2.99 trillion rials (about $71.1 million).

“Thus, 195 people were employed in the province,” the report said.

According to the report, a total of 440 kilometers of power lines were laid and repaired.

As a result of the work done, 5 villages were provided with electricity, the report noted.
