Turkish BOTAŞ reveals volume of oil shipped from Ceyhan terminal since early 2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 20

The Turkish BOTAŞ International Limited (BIL) company has shipped over 3.4 billion barrels of oil from the Ceyhan Oil Terminal to date, Trend reports citing the company's report.

According to the report, 4,563 tankers with oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field have been loaded at the terminal so far.

Since early 2020, 182 tankers with oil from ACG field have been shipped at the Ceyhan Oil Terminal, which is about 139.7 million barrels of oil.

In 2001, BOTAŞ International Limited was restructured to operate the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The first loading of tanker with crude oil of BTC at the Ceyhan terminal took place on June 2, 2006.

Oil produced at the ACG field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is transported to world markets.
