BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 5
By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:
A reduction in the volumes of natural gas and liquefied gas production due to urgent repair work has been prevented at Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, routine and repair work of the equipment of departments and enterprises is carried out using internal capabilities.
The gas pumping units at the Bateman compressor station of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department were repaired.
The main task of this compressor station is to increase the pressure of natural gas and transfer it to Shurtan and Shurtan gas chemical complex head works.
The shutdown of one of these units has a negative impact on the reduction of natural gas production to 500,000 cubic meters per day, as well as on the production of liquefied gas at the Shurtan headquarters.
Taking this into account, the engineers of the station promptly carried out routine maintenance and repair work on four existing gas compressor units.
Based on the manufacturer's instructions for repair work, the interior of the LM-2500 gas generators installed on the gas compressor unit No. 1,2,3,4 of the Bateman compressor station was washed with water softened with a special detergent, and air, fuel, and oil filters have been completely replaced.
The main and auxiliary equipment of the D12R6B compressors and the gas generators of the units have been fully tested.
As a result, it was possible to ensure continuous, standard operation of gas pumping units, to prevent a decrease in natural gas production and its shutdown in an emergency state.
The Bateman compressor station is located in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region in Uzbekistan and has four gas-pumping units. The station's capacity is 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. Gas-pumping units manufactured in the US were installed at the station and put into operation in 2003.
