Volume of gas pumped into Iran's Shourijeh D, Sarajeh storage facilities increases

The volume of gas pumped into the Shourijeh D gas storage facility increased by 28 percent since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date on November 10, compared to the same period last Iranian year, said Ahmad Rajabi Technical affairs director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.

According to him, a total of about 1.86 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into this gas storage facility.

Rajabi added that furthermore, the volume of gas pumped into the Sarajeh gas storage facility increased by 17 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The director noted that about 1.01 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into the Sarajeh gas storage facility.

"According to this, the Sarajeh and Shourijeh D gas storage facilities will play a major role on gas supplying in winter," he said.

A total of 2.31 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into the Shourijeh D gas storage facility in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) and the Sarajeh gas storage facility in the Qom Province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

This was an increase of 43 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).
