Iran's SZOGPC declares its extraction data

Daily gas extraction of Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) has reached 170 million cubic meters, Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Hatami stressed that the SZOGPC has fulfilled 97 percent of its oil and gas production plan since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date.

“In addition, $1 billion are to be invested in the development of the Nar, Kangan, Aghar and Dalan gas fields under the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company,” he added.

The director said that the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is the largest gas producer under the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). Thus, the SZOGPC currently accounts for 70 percent of the ICOFC's total gas extraction, and 20 percent of Iran.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The company operates at five sites in Fars, Bushehr, and Hormozgan provinces. The company has 9 gas fields and 2 oil fields.

The company extracts about 60 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million barrels of oil and gas condensate a year.

As reported, the SZOGPC extracted 24.8 billion cubic meters of gas, 7.78 million barrels of gas condensate and 1.14 million barrels of crude oil during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through September 21, 2020).
