Volume of SOCAR's aviation fuel imports to Ukraine disclosed

Aviation fuel imports to Ukraine fell by 43 percent in January 2021 and stood at 6,900 tons, compared to 12,200 tons in the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.

Half of this volume, 3,500 tons came from sea supplies from Italy. The entire volume was imported by Trade Commodity.

Aviation fuel supplies from Lithuania dropped by 57 percent compared to January 2020, and amounted to 3,200 tons, of which 1,200 tons were delivered to Amic Ukraine, 1,000 tons to Glusco Ukraine and 500 tons to SOCAR Ukraine.

The supplies from Belarus were fell to 200 tons, which were delivered by SOCAR Ukraine. In January 2020, the Belarusian aviation fuel imports to Ukraine stood at 3,200 tons, or 26 percent of the whole aviation fuel imports.

SOCAR’s representative office opened in Ukraine in 2008.

The company acquired about 20 Tala-Nafta filling stations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions, as well as Svitanok large oil depot in Odessa region in 2009.

The company took control of the fuelling networks ONIO (four filling stations in Kyiv and the region) and GFC (in Lviv region) in 2010-2011. SOCAR received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase 26 filling stations and one tank farm of the Kalina group in August 2012.
