The export of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Georgia amounted to 112.6 million cubic meters in January 2021, Trend reports with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, in total terms, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Georgia last month amounted to $12.4 million.
In general, Azerbaijan exported more than 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth about $100.02 million in January 2021. The share of Georgia in the export of Azerbaijani gas in January 2021 was 10 percent.
Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2020, which is by 0.8 percent less than in 2019. During the reporting period, the volume of exported natural gas amounted to about $2.2 billion in total terms (an increase of 7.2 percent compared to 2019).
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $536.2 million in 2020.
Georgia's export of goods to Azerbaijan amounted to $461.9 million while import from Azerbaijan - $74.3 million from January through December 2020.
