Azerbaijan exported 11.8 million tons of crude oil to Italy in 2020, Trend reports on Feb. 25 with reference to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The export volume increased by 2.7 percent compared to 2019.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in monetary terms, the volume of crude oil export to Italy for the reporting period amounted to $4.1 billion in 2020, which is 25.6 percent less than in 2019.
In general, 28.4 million tons of oil (together with condensate) were exported from Azerbaijan during 2020.
The volume of oil export (together with condensate) decreased by almost 2.9 million tons, that is, by 9.2 percent compared to 2019. The share of Italy in export from Azerbaijan amounted to 40.6 percent.
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Italy for the reporting period amounted to $743.9 million.
Export to Italy from Azerbaijan amounted to $722.5 million, import - $21.4 million in January 2021.
The import of Italian products to Azerbaijan increased by 7.3 percent in 2020 compared to 2019. The export of Azerbaijani products to Italy reached $4.2 billion in 2020, which is 25 percent less than in 2019.
The volume of foreign trade operations of Azerbaijan and Italy amounted to $4.6 billion in 2020, which is 24 percent less than in 2019.
