The gas pretreatment unit at the Yangikazgan field, owned by the Gazli oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz, was completely reconstructed and restarted, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, the annual capacity of this facility for the primary gas treatment amounts to 166 million cubic meters of natural gas.
It is reported that during the reconstruction the necessary technological devices were installed with the repair of existing separators and containers.
As a result, complete removal of mechanical impurities, formation water and gas condensate from the composition of natural gas produced from wells at the Yangikazgan and Yorkin fields, improved natural gas quality indicators and increased daily gas condensate production were achieved.
It is noted that technological apparatuses and equipment required for the reconstruction were selected using the internal capabilities of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and, as a result, money was saved for the purchase of apparatuses.
Uzbekneftegaz also noted that the unit was reconstructed by the team of Neftgazkurilishtamir JSC.
The Yangikazgan field is located in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region and was commissioned in 1967.
