Production of Iran’s Shiraz Petrochemical Company grows

The production of Iran’s Shiraz Petrochemical Company in the Fars Province (southern Iran) increased by about 105 percent during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, head of public relations department of the company, Mohammad Reza Javanmardi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Javanmardi said that the reason for the grow is the increase in production activities of the company.

“In addition, it is planned to replace production catalysts and carry out other repairs in the company's units as soon as possible. As result, there will be no delays in the company's production process,” the official added.

As reported, Iran's Shiraz Petrochemical Company was established in 1959. The company is located on an area of 300 hectares of land.

At present, the company's annual production capacity is 3.28 million tons. Of this, 677,000 tons are ammonia and 1.07 million tons are urea. The company also produces methanol, chlorine, argon and other products.
