SOCAR Turkey’s Bursagaz increases energy output

Bursagaz, a subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey, produced 44 percent of the energy it consumed in the first 3 months of 2021 in its headquarters, Trend reports via Turkish media.

Bursagaz's Leed Platinum Certified Headquarters building has started to produce 44 percent of the energy it consumes in the first quarter of 2021, as compared to 38 percent in 2020. The company sent approximately 55.5 tons of metal waste and 4,500 kg of aluminum regulators to the recycling process.

Electronic wastes, metal wastes, packaging wastes, waste batteries, accumulators and waste oils produced by Bursagaz are is stored in temporary waste storage areas at Bursagaz stations to be recycled through licensed waste companies.

The amount of metal waste recycled in 2020 was approximately 55.5 tons, and the amount of aluminum regulator was 4,500 kg.

In the Headquarters building, where the company's electricity consumption is controlled by the automation system, energy consumption priority is given to renewable energy sources.
