Azerbaijan exported over 9.17 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through May 2021, which is 67.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC report, the value of gas exports from the country exceeded $1.33 billion.
At the same time, the share of gas in Azerbaijani exports during the specified period made up 17.98 percent.
In 2020, the volume of natural gas exports from Azerbaijan surpassed 12.4 billion cubic meters, which is 0.8 percent less compared to 2019. The value of natural gas exports last year approached $2.19 billion, having grown by 7.2 percent on annual basis.
