Iran's Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company shares production data

The production of Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company's in the Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone of Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) will reach the maximum in the next Iranian year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), the company's CEO Reza Ghasemi Shahri said, Trend reports citing the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company’s website.

The CEO emphasized that a number of obstacles related to increasing the company's production will be removed.

He added that the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company sold about 613,000 tons of products over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021). The value of the company's sales amounted to about 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion).

Ghasemi Shahri noted that the company's net revenues amounted to 21 trillion rials (about $500 million) in the last Iranian year. While in the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020), this figure was 11.9 trillion rials (about $284 million).

As reported, the company recorded a significant increase in production within the last Iranian year. Thus, more than 1.1 million tons of products were produced in the last year.

The company launched its activity in 1998 and it operates in Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone on the area covering 34 hectares. The Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produces PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products.

The company produces more than 1.6 million tons of products a year, and the value of the company's annual production is estimated at more than $800 million. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company of Iran.
