The production of gasoline in Uzbekistan from January through May 2021 increased by 3.4 percent compared to the same period in 20210, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, some 456,200 tons of gasoline were produced in Uzbekistan during the reporting period.
In addition, the volume of diesel fuel production in 5M2021 amounted to 326,900 tons, which is 134,700 tons less compared to the same period in 2020.
At the same time, oil production reduced by 0.44 percent in 5M2021 compared to the same period in 2020 - to 295,600 tons.
As for natural gas production from January through May 2021, its volume amounted to about 22,400 billion cubic meters, which is 0.4 percent more compared to the same period in 2020.
In 5M2021, Uzbek enterprises produced about 568,300 tons of gas condensate, which is 1.44 percent less compared to the same period in 2020.
Earlier State Statistics Committee reported that Uzbekistan imported 207.5 million liters of motor gasoline worth $66.4 million in 4M2021.
The main exporting countries were Russia - $39 million, Turkmenistan - $22.5 million, Kazakhstan - $4.6 million.
In the context of regions, Tashkent imported motor gasoline worth $46.7 million, Fergana region - $8.7 million, Bukhara - $4.7 million, Samarkand - $2.2 Syrdarya - $1.8 million, Namangan - $1.3 million, Tashkent region - $424,000, Khorezm region - $293,600, Karakalpakstan Republic - $133,900, Kashkadarya region - $69,000.
