Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company boosts production

The production of the Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company increased by 55,000 tons in the first 100 days of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 1, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to the report, the company's production exceeded 320,000 tons during the reporting period.

“It is expected that there will be a significant increase in production with a number of changes in the plants, repair and replacement of equipment, compressors, and so on in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022),” the report said.

In this regard, certain operations were carried out in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2021) to increase production of the company's plants, the report said.

As reported, the company launched its activity in 1998 and it operates in Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone on the area covering 34 hectares. The Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produces PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products.

The company produces more than 1.6 million tons of products a year, and the value of the company's annual production is estimated at more than $800 million. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company of Iran.

Iran's Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company manufactured more than 1.1 million tons of products over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021). The company sold about 613,000 tons of products. The company's sales were worth about 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion).
