Uzbekneftegaz discloses accounts receivable from oil depots

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 18

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Accounts receivable for products supplied by oil depots as of August 1 amounted to 171.9 billion soums ($16.1 million), Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz reports.

According to the information, this amount includes debts for agricultural and systemic enterprises - 96.5 billion soums ($9 million) and 9.8 billion soums ($920,697), respectively, for other consumers - 65.6 billion soums ($6 million).

The chairman of the board of the oil and gas company, Mehriddin Abdullayev, using the example of Jizzakh oil depot, noted that almost 50 percent of accounts receivable are hopeless. He added that such situations are associated with theft.

Despite this, Abdullaev noted a number of oil storage depots, which, after optimization and duty-free sale of oil products, were able to reduce accounts receivable, including Termez, Karshi, Chinabad oil depots.

He said that these oil depots eliminate existing accounts receivable, timely pay wages to workers and employees, and show a special example in providing the economy of the country and the population with oil products.

“Currently, these oil depots are achieving positive results thanks to the timely implementation of work on the optimization and duty-free sale of petroleum products, the sale of idle fuel distribution stations to farmers through exchange trading,” the message said.
