Kazakhstan crude oil export amounted to 33.1 million tons over the period from January through June 2021, which is 11.4 percent less than during the same period last year, Trend reports citing Kazakh Statistical Committee.
The overall volume of crude oil produced in Kazakhstan over the reporting period amounted to 42.4 million tons, of which 33.1 million were exported and 9.3 million were used domestically (up by 23.4 percent).
The June crude oil export amounted to 6.1 million tons (down by 9.5 percent), whereas the volume of oil used domestically equaled 868,245 tons, thus making up 7 million tons of overall crude oil in stock.
In turn, natural gas production amounted to 5.8 billion cubic meters and additional 4.4 billion cubic meters were imported (down by 4.9 percent and by 22.3 percent). Of these 10.3 billion cubic meters, 8.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported and 1.3 billion cubic meters were sent to the domestic market (down by 13.6 percent and by 11.7 percent).
Furthermore, July natural gas production and import amounted to 887.1 million cubic meters and 238.7 million cubic meters respectively (down by 6.8 percent and by 71.1 percent). The entirety of this volume (1.3 billion cubic meters) was exported to foreign countries, which is 7.3 percent less on the annual basis.
