By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:

As part of the Program to Increase Hydrocarbon Production for 2017-2021 in Uzbekistan, Uzbekneftegaz JSC built and put into operation a 17 km gas pipeline with a diameter of 530 mm and piston inlet units for cleaning the gas pipeline from liquids and solids, as well as gas flow measurement lines, Trend reports citing the company.

Given the increase in natural gas production at the promising fields Kuyi Surgil, Aralik and Garbiy Kuyi Surgil belonging to the Ustyurt Gas Production Department, it became necessary to expand an additional commercial gas pipeline in the section from the Arslan complex gas treatment unit to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC.

In this regard, in cooperation with the general contractor ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC, the throughput capacity of natural gas purification pipelines has been increased from the Arslan complex gas treatment unit to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC.

As a result of the commissioning of this gas pipeline with an increase in the throughput of the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline from the Arslan complex gas purification unit, an increase in the daily volume of natural gas production by 200,000 cubic meters was achieved by increasing the difference in gas pressure in the pipelines, that is, preventing hydraulic resistance, and its delivery to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC at low pressure.

In addition, as a result of a decrease in the pressure difference, stability of the transportation system for gas volumes produced from the Ustyurt region was achieved, and an improvement in the quality indicators of natural gas supplied to Uztransgaz and the Ustyurt gas chemical complex.

The Arslan field is located in the Muynak district of Karakalpakstan and was commissioned in 2015.
