BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 21

By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:

The expected annual volume of natural gas production by Uzbekneftegaz by the end of 2021 will amount to 1.2 billion cubic meters and 32,200 tons of gas condensate, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz.

In this direction, Uzbekneftegaz is implementing investment projects with such joint ventures as Gissarneftgaz, Ko`kdumаloq-Gaz, Natural Gas-Stream, Uz-Kor Gaz Chemical, Asia Trans Gas, Tatneft UNG, New Silk Road Oil and Gas, Jizzakh Petroleum, Andijanpetro.

At present, Natural Gas-Stream JV LLC is implementing an investment project “Exploration work at the Sechangkul, Akdzhar and Chimbay investment blocks, as well as the development of the Urga, Akchalak and Chandyr group fields” with a total cost of $701.4 million.

To date, within the framework of the project, drilling work has been completed on 27 wells and 3D field seismic surveys have been carried out on an area of 600 sq. km.

To date, well development work has been completed in well No. 18A of the Kukchalak field in Karakalpakstan. The sidetrack was drilled in the depth interval of 2831-3280 meters in the direction determined by the JV specialists on the basis of a 3D geological model using modern directional drilling equipment.

A filter was installed in the sidetrack at a depth of 3204-3260 meters. During the development of the well, an industrial flow of gas with condensate was obtained with a daily gas flow rate of 101,000 cubic meters per day. The well was connected to the gas-collecting reservoir.

In the Akchalak group of fields, 78.9 km of gas pipelines and loops, 5.5 km of a water conduit and 40.5 km of power lines have been built.

Productive work is also underway at the Chandyr group of fields; in particular, 134.1 km of gas pipelines and loops, 84.6 km of power lines, 119.8 km of fiber-optic cables have been laid to provide the fields with communications and the Internet.

Moreover, regarding the Urga field, a gas metering unit was built to supply gas to the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline and a rotational camp for 23 people.

In addition, work is underway to drill a sidetrack in No 1 well at the Akchalak investment block. Major repairs are being carried out in three wells at the Urga field while sidetracking is being carried out in one well.
