Azerbaijan has developed energy consumption models of liberated territories, Head of Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy Tabriz Ammayev told Trend.
He recalled that on May 3, 2021, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, signed an Order on measures to establish a green energy zone in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
“Ministry of Energy and the Japanese company TEPSCO signed an agreement on May 6, 2021 in order to fulfill the tasks set by this Order. We continue working out the Green Energy Zone Concept and the Master Plan under the agreement signed with TEPSCO. The concept is aimed at providing liberated territories with environmentally friendly green energy using the high renewable energy potential, to put forward proposals by studying the prospects for the application of environmentally friendly and energy efficient green technologies,” added Ammayev.
He noted that for this purpose, energy consumption models of those territories have been developed based on different scenarios. “The final report on the Concept is nearing completion and will be submitted in the near future. Preliminary discussions are underway to develop a Master Plan.”
