Iran’s Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP boosts electricity generation

The electricity generation of the Eslamabad-e-Gharb Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) increased by 3.97 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

The director emphasized that the power plant generated 58.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the 6th month, of which 57.9 million kilowatt-hours supplied to Iran's electricity network.

“Meanwhile, in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), the Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP generated more than 286 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in total,” he added.

Reportedly, Iran’s Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP has 4 gas units, each of which can generate 25 megawatt-hours of electricity.
