The Esfahan Thermal Power Plant in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) generated more than 1.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), an official of Esfahan Power Generation Management Company Hossein Aminiyeh said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
Aminiyeh emphasized that the Esfahan TPP supplies about two-thirds of Isfahan Province’s electricity needs.
The official added that electricity generated by the thermal power plant was consumed by 9.53 million subscribers. Each subscriber consumed an average of 200-kilowatt hours of electricity per month.
Reportedly, Iran's Esfahan Thermal Power Plant is located on an area of about 74 hectares. The power plant has 5 units and can generate a total of 835 megawatt-hours of electricity.
