SOFAZ sees significant increase in Shah Deniz revenues

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec.6

Revenues from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field from January through November 2021 are estimated at $730.707 million, including $278.178 million from the sale of condensate, Trend reports referring to the Fund.

SOFAZ's revenues from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field increased by 164.24 percent compared to the same period in 2020, when this figure stood at $276 million.

The total revenue from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field from 2007 to December 1, 2021 amounted to $4.397 billion.

Shah Deniz participating interests are: bp (operator – 28.8 percent), TPAO (19 percent), PETRONAS (15.5 percent), AzSD (10 percent), LUKOIL (10 percent), NICO (10 percent) and SGC Upstream (6.7 percent).

In the first half of 2021, Shah Deniz spent more than $1.14 billion in operating expenditure and around $366 million in capital expenditure, the majority of which was associated with the Shah Deniz 2 project.
