Kazakhstan plans to maintain oil production in 2022 at the level of 87 million tons, Murat Zhurebekov, the first vice-minister of energy of the country, told TASS, Trend reports.
"The production forecast for next year is mainly the same as for this year - about 87 million tons of oil. In 2020 we changed our plans several times, next year we can adjust them depending on the development of the situation," Zhurebekov said.
According to him, nearly 16.5 million tons of the volume will be produced at the Kashagan field this year and in 2022," added the official.
