It is planned to complete the construction of Azeri-Central-East (ACE) platform at Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea in 2022, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp’s Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and Advocacy, told Trend.

“The works are on track. We plan to sail away the jacket structure of the platform in August. The first oil from the platform is expected in 2023 after its installation,” he said.

During 2021, the Azeri Central East project progressed according to the plan along with the other bp-operated activities. The final major equipment packages were delivered to Baku at the end of the year completing the shipment of all equipment required for the project.

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited is the operator on behalf of the Contractor Parties to the ACG Production Sharing Agreement.

ACG participating interests are: bp (30.37%), SOCAR (25.0%), MOL (9.57%), INPEX (9.31%), Equinor (7.27%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), TPAO (5.73%), ITOCHU (3.65%), ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) (2.31%).
