BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produced 116,000 tons of products in the 12th month of last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), which is a monthly record in the company’s production, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Meanwhile, under the company’s monthly production plan, the figure was to be 110,000 tons. This means the company has fulfilled its plan by 108 percent.
According to the report, in total, the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produced more than 1.11 million tons of products over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
Although the company suspended operations for two months in the last Iranian year for overhauls, it produced 6,614 tons more products than the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
“In addition, the company also increased the production of polymer products by 4,461 tons to 547,805 tons, as well as the production of Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) - by 6,800 tons to 37,851 tons over last Iranian year, compared to the preceding Iranian year,” the report said.
Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company launched its activity in 1998 and it operates in Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone on the area covering 34 hectares. The Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produces PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products.
The company produces more than 1.6 million tons of products a year, and the value of the company's annual production is estimated at more than $800 million. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran.
Iran's Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produced more than 1.1 million tons of products over the preceding Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021). The company sold about 613,000 tons of products. The company's sales were worth about 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion).
