BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. Iran’s Tabriz Petrochemical Company in East Azerbaijan Province (north-western Iran), is carrying out work within several projects, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

One of the projects implemented by the company is the construction of a plant that will produce 30,000 tons of polypropylene per year. The mentioned plant is expected to be launched in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 22 through November 21, 2022).

Another project is the construction of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage facility with a capacity of 2,500 cubic meters. This warehouse is expected to be put into use by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2023).

In addition, the Tabriz Petrochemical Company is carrying out a project to transport Tabriz city waste to the company. Within the framework of this project, a 6.5-kilometer long pipeline is being built. It is estimated that 5 million cubic meters of waste per year will be transported to the company through the pipeline. This pipeline is expected to be launched in the middle of next Iranian year (September 2023).

The company is also building a plant with a production capacity of 310,000 tons of heavy polyethylene per year. A total of 55 trillion rials (about $1.3 billion) is expected to be spent on the construction of this plant, and the plant is projected to be put into operation by the end of next Iranian year (March 19, 2024).
