BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. As many as 30 villages in Darab County of Iran’s Fars Province (southern Iran), were supplied with gas, on November 21, 2022, Executive Director of Fars Province Gas Company (FPGC), Ali Akbar Meydanshahi said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
The director said that in total, more than 3,700 families live in these villages, and a total of 2.15 trillion rials (about $51.2 million dollars) has been spent on supplying gas to the mentioned villages.
Meydanshahi added that a total of 254 km long pipelines were laid for this purpose.
According to him, currently, 94.3 percent of Darab County is supplied with gas.
In general, 1,216 cities and 34,884 villages in Iran were supplied with gas till February 2022. In other words, more than 98 percent of Iranian cities and about 84 percent of the country’s villages were equipped with gas.
