BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. Gas consumption in residential buildings and commercial facilities in Iran for February 26, 2023, increased by 12 percent compared to February 26, 2022, Manager of the Dispatching Department of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammad Reza Joulaei said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

The official noted that a total of 522 million cubic meters of gas were consumed by residential buildings and commercial facilities in the country yesterday.

Joulaei added that the figure is estimated to exceed 500 million cubic meters per day in the next 15 days.

He also pointed out that the restrictions on gas supply to industrial parks, petrochemical and steel plants in the country have been removed.

Currently, Iran produces 977 million cubic meters of rich gas daily. After refining, 843 million cubic meters of gas are supplied to the country's gas network daily.

Due to high gas consumption in Iran in the middle of the winter season, some restrictions on gas supply to some steel, petrochemical plants and industrial parks have been applied.
