BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Turkmenistan sells a large batch of liquefied natural gas to entrepreneurs from UAE and Afghanistan, Trend reports.
Turkmenistan sold a total of 15,000 tons of liquefied natural gas to businessmen from UAE and Afghanistan, the cost of which was estimated at $339.2 per ton. The total amount of LNG sales transactions amounted to $5 million.
At the same time, businessmen from Türkiye purchased 451.5 tons of various types of cotton yarn worth $955,600 (from $1950 through $2250 per ton).
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 6.4 percent from January through April 2023, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 1.4 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
