BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. A total of 11 billion kWh of electricity was produced at thermal power stations from January through May of this year, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, this is 728.8 million kWh (7.06 percent) more compared to the same period of 2022.
Electricity generation at hydroelectric power stations decreased by 96.5 million kWh to 672.3 million kWh during the reporting period, while by other sources - by 3 million kWh to 159.1 million kWh.
As many as 26.4 million kWh of electricity were produced at wind power stations during this period, 25.4 million kWh - at solar power stations, and 107.3 million kWh - at a solid waste incineration station.
