BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Pakistan's Federal Cabinet of Ministers has approved a joint plan with Turkmenistan for the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, Trend reports.
The decision aims at accelerating the completion of the feasibility study of the project and the transition to the stage of construction of the gas pipeline.
The joint document signed between the Ministry of Energy of Pakistan and the Turkmengaz State Concern of Turkmenistan was signed during the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Islamabad in early June.
Meanwhile, having received the necessary ratification, the parties will focus on concluding key project agreements, conducting land acquisition processes and formulating strategies for the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project.
