bp reports strong natural gas, liquids production growth

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. bp, a leading global energy company, has revealed robust production figures for the third quarter of 2023, showcasing significant year-on-year growth in both natural gas and liquids production in oil production and operations segment, Trend reports.

In Q3 2023, bp's natural gas production reached 2,155 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd), marking an increase from 2,075 mmcfd during the same period in 2022. This represents a notable uptick of almost 3.9 percent in the company's natural gas production year-on-year.

Additionally, liquids production for the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 1,011 thousand barrels per day (mbd), compared to 959 mbd in Q3 2022. This demonstrates a substantial increase of 5.4 percent in bp's liquids production.

The cumulative hydrocarbons output for the third quarter stood at 1,382 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (mboed), compared to 1,317 mboed during the same period in 2022. This reflects a remarkable 4.9 percent increase in bp's total hydrocarbons production, highlighting the company's strong performance in this period.
