Iran reveals hydrocarbon products to be on sale at IRENEX for Nov. 22

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. More than 76,000 tons of various hydrocarbon products will be on sale at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) on November 22, Trend reports.

Of the mentioned volume, 8,700 tons will be on sale on the domestic ring of the energy exchange.

The following goods are to be offered:

- Iranian Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company’s 4,000 tons of pentane and 400 tons of butane products;

- Khangiran Gas Refining Company’s 3,010 tons of gas condensate;

- Zarand Iranian Steel Company’s 650 tons of tar;

- Pars Petrochemical Company’s 506 tons of pentane plus;

- Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company’s 138 tons of MTBE products.

At the same time, 67,400 tons of products will be on sale on the export ring of the IRENEX:

- Iranian Persian Gulf Star Oil Company’s 20,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 16,800 tons of white oil, and 6,000 tons of distillation tower residue;

- Abadan Oil Refining Company’s 10,900 tons of diesel;

- Bouali Sina Petrochemical Company’s 9,830 tons of heavy hydrocarbons;

- Persian Gulf Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company’s 3,000 tons of pentane;

- Fannavaran Petrochemical Company’s 600 tons of methanol;

- Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company’s 276 tons of MTBE products.

Meanwhile, the value of total sales at the IRENEX was 22.1 trillion rials (about $53.3 million) during the last Iranian week (Nov. 11 through Nov. 15, 2023), representing a 42.6 percent decline from the previous week (Nov. 4 through Nov. 8, 2023).

Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) sells its products at the SANA exchange rate.

The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange outlets, where the price of 1 euro is 455,892 rials and the price of $1 is 417,339 rials.

The sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
