SOCAR, UKRNAFTAGAS HAVE NEGOTIATIONS ON COOPERATION IN ENERGY SPHERE

A delegation of UkrNaftaGas, a Ukrainian company, completed the visit to Baku with an objective to explore the ways for cooperation in the energy sphere, Trend reports. .

The discussions concerned the implementation of drilling operations in the Azerbaijani fields, Azerbaijani investments in Ukraine, as well as the purchase of Azerbaijani oil products by Ukraine, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend.

“The SOCAR confirmed its readiness to supply oil products to Ukraine. The Ukrainian delegation discussed several items of the project on delivery of oil products, which was submitted earlier by the SOCAR,” the company said.

The SOCAR handed over the draft contract on delivery of 100,000 tons of light oil product to Ukraine in May.

In accordance with the contract, the company could sell to Ukraine 50,000 tons of diesel oil, as well as petrol in hr same volume in 2005.

The transportation fee for delivery of light oil product from Baku to Ukraine will be approximately $60 per ton of light product.
