Delegation of Azerenerji JSC visited Finland

A delegation of the Azerenerji Joint Stock company (JSC) headed by the vice-president Marlen Askerov visited Finland in the framework of the modular electrical power stations construction in Azerbaijan, where it tested the equipment to come to Azerbaijan at the Warstila manufacturing work, the Azerenerji JSC press-release says, Trend reports.

Warstila is the JSC contractor for the project. The sub-contractor AZENCO is currently building modular electrical power stations in Astara, Sheki, Hachmaz. The Astara power station of the modular type, consisting of 10 modules (per 8,7 MWt each), will be the first from 52, which Azerenerji plans to commission in 2005-2006. The total capacity of these power stations is 450-460 MWt.

According to the chief of the department on electrical power production Fazil Suleymanov, a member of the delegation, the Azerbaijani specialists assessed highly the Finnish products. The main goal of the visit to Finland was comprehensive analyses of the modular units and testing of the equipment under various operational modes.
